Rise Fencing Academy is an organization designed to train athletes in the sport of fencing. Fencing allows us to train the whole athlete, developing not only strength, but flexibility, balance, reflexes, mental awareness and sportsmanship.

Rise Fencing Academy was started in August 2005 by owners Cindy Gregory, Secretary; Marvin Gregory, Manager; and Steve Arze, Coach. Currently based at Rockwall Indoor Sports Expo, RFA grew out of the fencing class that used to meet there that dissolved.

Coach Steve Arze joined the Gregorys in October 2005. Coach Steve is certified in foil, épée and sabre.

Andrew Gregory has extensive sabre experience in tournaments and is certified in sabre. This summer, Andrew will attend coaches' college and will be certified in Sabre 2 and Foil 1. Coach Andrew will also be competing in Summer Nationals.

Our newest coach, David Noble, will be attending coaches' college to earn his certification for foil and sabre.

Our coaching team is rounded out by Mr. Blair, our assistant coaches.
